No trip to the Bullhead is complete without a visit to the historic mining town of Oatman, just a half hour drive on good paved roads. Donkeys wander the streets and there are twice-daily gunfights but please, leave Fido at home for his (and your) own safety. There's also Keepers of the Wild attraction nearby, and the Grand Canyon is only 4 hour drive to the east.

Opportunities for dining out range from close by sandwich and burger shops to amazing Mexican taquieras, Japanese sushi, a highly-rated Italian restaraunt and Prime Rib fine-dining. Door dash, Grub Hub and all the usual delivery services would be glad to bring dinner to your door too!

Hiking our desert trails varies from very easy to difficult. There is a walking trail loop, (newly completed) that starts in Laughlin and goes up and over the Davis dam and down the Bullhead side. Hiking to see the petroglyphs in Grapevine Canyon is also very popular. Spirit Mountain has numerous hiking and climbing routes.

There's an area 4x4 map in the house for local desert trails but remember to take proper precautions and be prepared. Metal detecting, geocaching, meteorite hunting, and rockhounding are wonderful family past times offered to people who just love the desert. Local 4x4 clubs have regular outings.

If you didn't bring your own Personal Watercraft to launch at our private, gated boat marina, there are numerous rental agencies in Bullhead City. You can rent to get on the River or take a short drive to Lake Mohave to rent EPA-compliant 4-stroke PWC's to explore the vast waterway.

Spend some time at the casinos in Laughlin and Fort Mohave. Head North on I-95 for Don Laughlin's Riverside, The Aquarius, The Edgewater, The Regency, The Pioneer, The Tropicana, The Golden Nugget, Harrah's and the Laughlin River Lodge, plus a couple of smaller bar/casinos. If you travel South on I-95 you will find Spirit Mountain Casino and wonderful The Avi Resort & Casino.

From Lake Havasu, through the Needles Canyon, up the Colorado River to Lake Mohave, fishing is a prominent pasttime. Boats are not even required as there are many public fishing areas where you can test your angling skills to catch giant Striper Bass, Rainbow Trout, Bluegill, Large and Smallmouth Bass and Catfish. There are even guide services available for the serious sportsmen and women. Why not treat yourself to a truly memorable vacation experience?
